In an uncharacteristic display, I'm updating on a Thursday. There's nothing particularly special about Thursdays in general, and the only song I can think of that gives a damn about Thursday is "Thursday's Child" by David Bowie. Which is a song from later in his career and shows that he's one of the few classic artists that continues to produce badass music. I love David Bowie. I'd love to do some David Bowie tattoos, each from different eras. Aww yeah.

Anyhoo, last night I got to do one of the more unsettling tattoos I've ever done on Off the Map's Ben Reigle. It's a snail with the face of one of our most beloved and talented guest artists, Orrin Hurley. We decided that if Orrin was a snail he'd definitely pick out the shiniest, pinkest shell in which to hide from all the butterflies that would undoubtedly plague him. And because this is a man who hates the opposite of pain, our AMAZING guest artist Jimmy Lajnen did a gorgeous piece on Ben's goshdamn shin bone at the same time.

It's been awesome having Jimmy here. Wicked nice guy, and SO talented. Holy cow.

And Hey! Come to think of it, you can all hang out with Jimmy, Chloe Vanessa and the rest of the Off the Map tattoo crew TONIGHT!
